How Seedance 2.5 Draft Mode should work
The two-stage workflow separates inexpensive creative review from the final-quality render, while keeping task ownership and billing explicit.
Generate draft candidates
Create a small batch of low-resolution drafts and inspect motion, dialogue, sound and camera timing.
Compare and select
Review candidates side by side and explicitly select the one task that should continue to final rendering.
Confirm the final render
See the final price, confirm once and render from the selected provider draft task instead of drawing a new random result.
No hidden generation or misleading status
The page distinguishes a prepared workflow from a live model connection. The paid controls remain closed until the provider contract and output are verified.
Draft and final actions will require separate price confirmation.
A final task must belong to the same user as its selected draft.
Retries will use idempotency protection to prevent duplicate charges.
Failed provider tasks will retain a specific reason and follow the existing credit-refund rules.
Frequently asked questions
Is Seedance 2.5 Draft Mode live on this site?
Not yet. The workflow planner and cost calculator are usable, but generation stays disabled until a provider supports a verified Draft task ID to final-render request.
Does this page generate a normal 480p video and call it a Draft?
No. A normal low-resolution generation is not presented as official Draft Mode because it may not be reusable for a deterministic final render.
Are the savings shown here guaranteed?
No. The calculator uses editable inputs. Actual savings depend on provider prices, duration, aspect ratio, candidate count and how many full-quality retries you would otherwise make.
Can I still use the regular Seedance 2.5 generator?
Yes. The existing Seedance 2.5 generator remains available as a separate single-stage workflow and is not replaced by this preview page.
